What insurance do you accept?

The Mood and Sleep Clinic (M&SC) is a private practice that is an in-network provider with: • Medica • United HealthCare • Blue Cross Blue Shield • Aetna • Health Partners • Cigna Finally, your costs may be tax deductible; many people choose to pay through their HSA (Health Savings Account).

How are payments made?

Accepted Answer

The M&SC provides secure online payment processing through TherapyAppointment. You can use your preferred credit card on file (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or HSA card) for automatic billing following each session. This allows us to focus on your symptoms, well-being, and maximizes our time together. Payment is made at the time of service for co-pays or self-pay patients. When insurance is billed, payment is made when claim processing is completed.

In what states do you provide care?

I am a PSYPACT authorization holder. PSYPACT is an agreement between states, called an interstate compact, allowing licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology across state lines. There are 44 states included at present, with numbers growing. This gives you greater access to care if you live in a state with a shortage of psychologists or specialists. What are your fees?

I offer a variety of session lengths to fit your needs and budget. Session fees vary depending on the length of our treatment meetings and are set by your insurance provider. Session lengths typically fall within the following categories: • 60 Minute Initial Assessment • 60 Minute Session • 45 Minute Session • 30 Minute Session Please contact me for a free initial consultation to determine your therapy needs, treatment type, possibility for a sliding scale, and anticipated costs. I will always work with you to determine the treatment that fits your needs best.

You are not a provider with my insurance plan and/or I do not want to use insurance. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

Insurance is a complicated and sometimes difficult process. Insurance networks can pose limitations on the type or amount of treatment you receive. If you do not have insurance, I provide treatment without such restrictions using a fee-for-service model. This can be arranged session-by-session or via a package. If you have an insurance plan in which I am an in-network provider, legally and for contractual reasons, I must bill your insurance company.
